Description: This guy is fun! Full disclosure - this is not a true "Essex crystal" as its glass not rock crystal. And anyway, Essex crystals are mis-named after William Essex, the Victorian animal portraitist. So we're not wishing to deceive here! what we have is a reverse painted cyclist (with an early 20th century, European look about him!) backed with mother of pearl and sat against a base metal reverse and banded in 9ct rose gold. Very funky, we like his style!

Age: c1910-20

Size and weight: 3.9g 7.4cm, roundel is 13mm.

Materials: Glass, mother of pearl, base metal rear and pin, 9ct gold frame.

Condition: Very good.
