Description: Moonstones are always so popular, for good reason! These glow with a fabulous (in the fancy language of jewellery) andularescence (or schiller if you prefer!). Anyway, a stunning necklace that would be at home on the red carpet, as a wedding piece or paired with jeans and a T-shirt!
Age: c1900 +/- 10 years or so
Size and weight: 24.5g. 16 inches.
Materials: High carat gold (not yet tested for exact fineness - to follow but in the 14/15 carat range)
Condition: Very good, if nit-picking, the chain has a very tiny kink in it near one end between the second and third moonstone. This is not noticeable when worn. Clasp is good and secure but may benefit from the addition of a safety chain (opinions are divided here, some say it can look a bit messy!)
