Art Nouveau Enamel Pearl Ruby Gold Brooch Pin

Description: Pure art nouveau in the true, French style. Very sweet and wearable brooch displaying all the design features you'd like to see. The little collet set ruby is a nice touch, you don't often see settings like that on pearls (don't think we've ever seen another actually!) 

Age: c1900 Art Nouveau 

Size and weight: 2.3g, 3.5cm x 1.9cm

Materials: 9ct gold, pearl, ruby, enamel, base metal pin 

Condition: Good antique condition, as you can see there are some minor losses to the enamel. These days it's possible to repair or touch up enamel quite effectively with resin or cold enamel but we've left this alone as we don't feel that it warrants repairing, especially given that its a naturalistic, imperfect looking piece and repairing means it's no longer original, but after all that, it is still damaged. Otherwise good.
