Description: A very chunky, heavy, fantastical creature! A chimera? A gargoyle? A half lion, half crazy winged beast!? He's loads of fun whatever he is and very chunky and tactile.
Age: A little hard to call this one, we feel like the bail is a later replacement and although the piece is very much in the French Art Nouveau taste c1900, the diamond looks to be a more modern cut. It could be a replacement or the whole piece could be a later homage to the period. It has worn marks that look like part of a 14. Would warrant a little more research!
