Authentic Georgian Foil Backed Gold Flat Cut Garnet Regency Earrings for Pierced Ears

Description: Beautiful and contemporary looking, a quintessential Georgian style, very wearable and would fit in any collection. 

Age: c1810 Georgian 

Size and weight: 3.4g. Flowers 16mm across. 

Materials: Gold (fineness not x-ray tested, to follow) 9 carat gold butterflies are later replacements. Garnet.

Condition: Very good, they look like they may have started life as something else potentially as there are a couple of tell-tale signs to the reverse. This was not done by us but if they have been converted its a very good job. The garnets are natural and foiled to enhance their sparkle, they are natural stones so vary in colour and cut slightly. With all Georgian gem set jewellery, wed not recommend getting wet as it can affect the foils - so remember to take them off before a bath!
