Description: A bit of a curiosity! Fabulously well made (always good to see the back of a piece of jewellery looking almost as good as the front), what's odd is the mixture of paste stones and gemstones - the pastes are super, much sparklier than in the pics and they really set off the gorgeous central pink tourmaline cabochon. And to top it all off, there's a drop (which we're in no doubt started life there, the gilding to the reverse is the same as are the gold collet settings - a nice touch!) featuring a really nice natural opal.
Age: c1915 La belle epoque in style.
Size and weight: 10g, 6.5cm drop inc bail x 3cm wide.
Materials: Silver (marked 925 and also a makers cipher which we can't make out), pink tourmaline, natural opal both collet set in gold, white pastes.
Condition: Excellent, all stones present and no discolouration. Quite tarnished on the reverse and a little grubby, we don't see a need to clean or polish though.
