Description: Pure "Belle Epoque" in style with plenty of French ooh la la! This beautiful piece has a brooch fitting or a chain can be attached to its two hooks at 11 and 1 o'clock. Beautifully made and very pretty.
Age: c1915 Belle Epoque, just starting to creep into early Art Deco you can still see some French Art Nouveau sensibilities but very firmly of its own period.
Size and weight: 15.8g, 7cm top to bottom x 5.3cm wide
Materials: Gold (although the majority of the metal here is silver), silver, old cut diamonds (TCW to follow, quite a job to calculate as they are a mixture of cuts, the smaller diamonds are rose cut and the collet set ones are OEC), calibre cut rubies, pearl drop.
Condition: Excellent, may benefit from a light clean and polish, we generally leave patina as found but we think a polish wouldn't hurt in this instance.
