Description: A really nice quality, simple, honest ring. You see a lot of 22 carat antique gold wedding bands (we have lots!) but rarely are they gem set like this. Garnets were prized very highly when it was made and this would have been an expensive thing to make in such high carat gold. The garnet itself is a great example, as nice as you'll see for a pyrope red garnet.
Age: c 1890, Victorian, date mark rubbed.
Size and weight: 3.1g. UK J and half, US size 5. It may be possible to re-size but please ask before purchasing.
Materials: 22 carat gold, full English hallmarks and makers mark S&B. Red faceted garnet.
