Description: These hardstone cameos are a real work of art! At first glance they look like a bit of moulded white glass stuck onto a bit of black glass but the image has actually been carved away out of a stripy rock to reveal the cavalier type chap carved in white against the pitch black bedrock. He had been hiding in there since the dawn of time until the skilled artisan revealed him!
Age: c1870 Victorian
Size and weight: 4.13g, 1.5cm x 2cm
Materials: Banded agate or onyx, gold frame, base metal pin, leather box.
Condition: Excellent, the actual pin part is a little tarnished but you don't see that when worn of course.
