Description: A very unusual and pretty Victorian chain, nice and long and with a split ring included (please see notes on condition below)
Age: c1860-80 Victorian (these days it would probably be described as "Georgian" and sold for twice the price but we're fairly confident its a bit later)
Size and weight: 30.28g 105cm 41.3"
Materials: 9ct Gold
Condition: Good antique condition, a little wear in places commensurate with age but nothing serious. The split ring has been a little over-stretched and so gapes slightly open, it still does its job and on their own these can sell for a couple of hundred pounds. Anyway we've left it in situ but it could be replaced. There are a couple of plain jump rings along the chain which may have been used originally to join together several sections of a gents albert chain or they may have been put in for another reason. Overall a lovely chain.
