Ouroboros Snake Georgian High Carat Gold Rock Crystal Fob Spinner

Description: Not strictly an ouroboros as the snake here is not eating himself! They are perhaps more a pair of stylised dragons or sea serpents in the regency taste with each intertwining and creating the loop for attachment to a watch chain (or now neck chain). The intaglio family crest is a horse, eagle a star and (possibly) 3 little stylised birds all surmounted with a five pointed coronet. An unusual and well made fob.

Age:  c1830

Size and weight: 10.6g crest face 2.3cm x 1.7cm. Width of fob 2.8cm 

Materials: 18ct gold, rock crystal quartz.
