Description: We hesitate to call these Georgian even though they show some features associated with the period. We think more likely very early Victorian or William IV. Anyway, they are absolutely stunning and really stand out of any jewellery box. They may have been made or retailed by Harvey and Gore in London as we've seen similar pieces by them and these were found by us in London. The amethysts are a beautiful colour and really pop.

Age: c1830-40 Early Victorian

Size and weight: 6.2g total. 33mm drop. 24mm wide. Please ask for some pics of these being worn, our model is out at time of writing!

Materials: High carat gold (not x ray tested for fineness, to follow but test in 14/15ct range with acid). Natural cushion cut amethysts.

Condition: At first glance we assumed these had been converted from something else, perhaps a brooch in a diamond shape (on its side) but there are no scars and the bottoms are decorated with little gold spirals which wouldn't have been there had the two parts been joined together, so we think these are authentic earrings.
