Description: There's those that say there's no such thing as suffragette jewellery; it's a confection made up after the event by crafty jewellers. Others swear it's true and that women were all walking around discreetly displaying the colours of the movement - Give (green) Women (white) Votes (violet). It's a compelling notion and we've never been able to get to the bottom of it! We think the truth lies somewhere in the middle and this combination of colours and gems was popular at the time. One thing we will say - green, demantoid garnets are super rare and it's would have been extremely difficult to find all these matching stones, so someone really, really wanted this colour combo. Oh, and by the way, this amethyst, likely Siberian (as are the garnets) is an absolute stunner!

Size and weight: 6.9g. 44cm when chain laid out flat, then drop from top to bottom is 5.2cm, largest part of pendant is 1.9cm across.
