Description: This ring is kind of famous! Or infamous perhaps...We acquired it a few years back and sold it on Etsy where it was snapped up immediately, then several years later, the lady who bought it, a favourite customer, traded it in for something else as she wasn't getting much wear out of it. Between these two events, it seems that some sneaky person in China stole the photos from the original listing and listed it on eBay for $80 or $100 or something - Their business model is to steal the pictures of popular art deco items and when they sell one they make an inferior copy out of silver and glass (hence the low price). We complained to the seller and to eBay and got nowhere. Anyway, before you know it, this ring was listed, complete with our pictures in over 200 different places on eBay! Each listing slightly different, eg 1 carat emerald, 1.5 carat, all made up stuff. This has happened to so many of our listings over the years (and it's not just us of course) that we stopped bothering trying to get the listings removed, one goes away and 2 more pop up in its place, hydra style! This is also why you shouldn't send anyone pictures of your bum on the internet. If you look you will probably still find this ring listed a million different ways. But...this one is the original that inspired all those copies.
It's popular - when we sold it on Etsy we had a waiting list over 40 names long! So we think its new owner will get plenty of admiring glances!
It would make a nice engagement ring but bear in mind emeralds can be a little bit fragile so if you're wearing it every day for 30/40/50 years, it's not going to stay looking like this! Having said this it's survived around 100 years already. Gosh, Art Deco is now antique - how did that happen!?

Size and weight: This is quite a dainty, understated ring, so don't expect a great big thing to arrive! UK size N, US Size 6.75. This can be re-sized a little but please ask before purchasing.
Materials: Platinum (marked PT), natural emerald (wonderful, deeply saturated colour, surely Colombian and "old mine" and diamonds.
Condition: Very good, few tiny surface pits to the emerald when viewed under 10x magnification. Engraved internally Dorothy 10.8.30
