Description: A wonderful cameo ring with a very unusual subject (it took a while to notice that she has a ram on her shoulder! Please let us know if you can decipher this!
Age: Early Victorian - A little tricky this one, the trifurcated shoulders are a typically Georgian aesthetic but it has been repeated ever since. So this is a kind of make your own mind up one! Georgian? why not!? Victorian, most likely. Its certainly no later than 19th century
Size and weight: 2.7g. UK size R, US 8.5. It may be possible to re-size a little but please ask first (and will take at least a week as will need to be sent off to be done with a laser)
Materials: Gold, shell
Condition: Cameo itself is very good, under magnification there is a small hairline crack on the back of her hair, its very, very hard to spot and can't be seen with the naked eye. The shoulders of the ring are a little messy/worn/slightly squashed when scrutinised but you could wear it for ten years and not notice.
