Description: Sumptuous French pendant featuring some lovely knife edge collet set diamonds and an array of old cuts surrounded by calibre cut, pave set rubies.
Age: In the UK, this type of so-called negligée pendant (with 2 asymmetrical drops) had a bit of a moment around 1915 when it was very much in fashion, we think this one is slightly later than that and French and is leaning into the overlapping Art Deco style.
Size and weight: 6.2cm drop roundels are 1.2cm wide. Rest to follow!
Materials: 18ct yellow gold (French assay marks, not particularly cleanly stamped), platinum (front of settings), 9ct white gold chain (later replacement) old cut diamonds, rubies.
Condition: Excellent, chain has been replaced with old 9ct white gold one which works very well aesthetically.
