Description: A very cool little locket which has been fashioned out of an 18th century 22ct gold coin. Can be used for a small photo or important little keepsake.
Age: Coin is 1700's George IV but locket itself likely constructed later, c1860 Victorian
Size and weight: 8.2g. 2cm across, 3cm north to south inc bail.
Materials: 22ct gold coin, gold frame (not x ray tested for fineness, to follow but in 14/15ct range). carnelian.
Condition: Good, useable condition. The front of the coin is heavily worn (although pics make it look worse than it is but it is certainly very rubbed). The bail is slightly worn. It may have had a glass in originally. Clasp closes with a good click. Overall a nice, clean example.
