Description: A showstopper of a Georgian brooch which looks as if it could have been made yesterday! A true museum piece. If you had to find these stones today you'd struggle and you'd definitely have to open your wallet! So to source them nearly 250 years ago...you'd have needed to be someone important, a member of the clergy or holder of some office or other!
Age: c1790-1800 Georgian
Size and weight: 5cm x 5cm
Materials: Gold, Imperial (golden) topaz of very good colour and quality, very sparkly and glowing, foil.
Condition: Excellent, under magnifications there are 2 tiny, natural flaws to the surface of the topaz, we only mention for accuracy. It may never have been worn.
