Description: At first glance a Georgian pearl and emerald ring - Well its certainly Georgian but we think that the green centre stone is a rock crystal quartz that has been foiled to make it look green - very clever!
Age: c1810 Georgian
Size and weight: 3g. Large size Q - can potentially be re-sized but please ask before purchasing. Setting approx 1.5cm x 1.6cm slight rectangle.
Materials: Gold (fineness not yet confirmed with x-ray test, assume 9ct), pearls, rock crystal, foil, tiny sapphires (very dark and quite small but add to the overall look), enamel.
Condition: Good antique condition commensurate with age. With rings this old they are never perfect, when viewing under 10x magnification you can see the enamel around the centre setting is not perfect, still good but not perfect. The shank is a little worn and tired but overall its in good shape and the pearls are in remarkably good order considering the age.
