Description: This is about as close to a 24ct gold chain as you can buy. Actually x ray testing puts it at between 23 and 24ct but closer to 24.
Age: Relatively modern, we don't think this an antique chain although if you can read the Chinese hallmarks you may beg to differ (we can't!)
Size and weight: 46cm 18.1" total length, snake clasp 1cm 7.32g
Materials: Solid gold 23-24ct
Condition: Excellent. Clasp is unusual in that one end is closed and the other remains open when worn (and can be bent/squeezed shut) but it seems to do its job!
