Description: A quite unusual cameo. The cameo carving itself is exquisite and fine, a real work of art, the face especially is wonderfully done and she herself is wearing a brooch/cloak closure with a face on, there's also a little snake in there somewhere! Athena we believe - please come and tell us if we're wrong! So unusually good quality but also nice to get a Whitby jet backing which in itself is beautifully carved

Materials: Shell, Whitby jet, base metal pin.
Condition: Very good, no chips, splits or cracks to the cameo. Pin works well. Small chip to the reverse of the jet mount, not seen when worn.
