Description: Very pretty earrings with some gorgeous pink, gemmy stones. A lovely, wearable design.
Age: c1840 - There's a lot of Georgian era indicators here, the closed back settings and the leaf motif that we've seen a lot on earlier pieces but we think these are probably early Victorian or William IV.
Size and weight: 4.7g , 4cm not including hooks
Materials: Gold (9ct or slightly better, we have only acid tested to date and will establish exact fineness! TBC). Almandine garnet.
Condition: Good antique condition. The wires are a little short and perhaps have been cut down and/or replaced over the years and one appears to be plated. The appeture where the wires go through has slightly worn over the years but are still good. We generally leave as we find but we think these would benefit from putting on some new wires (which would be very easy to do) Please ask, we may have some options here!
Layaway – A deposit secures any item. Please ask if you’d like to pay over time (or consider using Klarna at checkout).
Have items to sell or exchange? – We buy pretty much all jewellery and can take scrap or broken gold as payment (we match any genuine price available anywhere, no ifs or buts) and if you have antique or interesting pieces we will always do our best to buy.
Questions? - Please check out our “useful information” tab – the answers to most questions are there. If in doubt, ask away and we’ll endeavour to get back to you within a couple of hours.
