Rare Victorian or Georgian Cameo Earrings Drops Featuring Male Faces

Description: An unusual pair of cameo earrings. Not many pairs of earrings survive as invariably one is lost or damaged over time. Also its very hard to find earrings that are anything other than a lady's profile. These may have been a portrait of the owners loved one or could be a famous figure from the day - they may warrant some further research anyway.

Age: c1830-1850

Size and weight: Approx 11g combined. Drop is approx 5cm.

Materials: Gilded base metal, Shell

Condition: Commensurate with age. Gilding has worn (they could be re-plated but we feel this would detract from their originality)and cameos are slightly rubbed.
