Description: A very funky and interesting ring that is one of those that is guaranteed to have people asking what its all about! It looks incredibly contemporary but is over 200 years old!
Age: c 1820
Size and weight: Hefty 8.5g. Approx UK size N US 6.75 - its a little tricky to measure as its so wide. This ring can't be re-sized.
Materials: 18ct solid gold. No hallmarks as was common for the time.
Condition: Very good, some of the stringing above the symbols and below the outer bands has been lost. you could wear it for a long time without ever noticing but nevertheless, it is at fault. Some of the hamd engraving is lightly and pleasingly worn and a great patina. Often Georgian rings (mostly memorial rings) have the middle section flooded with enamel just leaving the lettering visible, i'm pretty sure this one has always been as is.
