*Reserved* Victorian Pietra Dura Lily of The Valley Brooch Pin in Gold Frame

Description: Really great example of Italian (probably Florentine) Pietra dura work from the late 19th century possibly brought back from someone's "grand tour". These type of items make nice, wearable collectibles that couldn't be made today. These were also made in Ashford in the Peak District but we feel that this one is Italian. This type of work is remarkable, it looks like a very detailed oil painting but its all done in stone - A work of art!

Age: c1880 Victorian 

Size and weight: 7.7g 3.5cm

Materials: Belgian black slate, coloured marble, 15ct gold frame, base metal back and pin.

Condition: Good, antique condition, please note one slight loss and a little residual glue at 9 o'clock where someone has tried to repair. Luckily, the lost area is plain white and could be repaired effectively with modern materials, we are leaving as is and selling it honestly. Tiny, tiny bit scruffy on the frame near the pin
