Description: The most beautiful vivid blue sapphire...Which leads us to believe its most likely synthetic. Its hard to "get inside" the stone with a loupe but you can just make out the characteristics of a lab sapphire - its still a sapphire and its still antique (synthetic sapphires and rubies have been around since the 19th century) and the diamonds are 100% natural earth mined stones (and very nice too)
Age: c1930-1940 Art Deco
Size and weight: Large ring size UK Q and half US 8.25, can be re-sized.
Materials: 18ct yellow gold, platinum setting, sapphire, natural OEC cut diamonds, very clean and lively.
Condition: Very good, the bezel setting on one side of the sapphire is ever such a tiny bit gappy when viewed in detail, not to the point where it needs any work - please have a look at the photos.
